As Antigua Cruise Port (ACP) prepares to unveil its cruise terminal on January 24, 2026, a call has been launched for local entrepreneurs to submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for retail and experience spaces within its Upland Development Project.
The Upland Development Project is the next chapter in the long-term partnership between the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and Global Ports Holding (GPH), guided by a shared vision that the continued growth of cruise tourism translates into tangible economic benefits for local communities. This investment in cruise infrastructure is focused on expanding economic participation for Antiguans and Barbudans while enhancing the overall experiences for visiting cruise passengers.
The development will introduce a curated mix of 10 ft × 10 ft kiosks and bazaar-style retail and experience spaces, designed to showcase locally made products, cultural expressions, and innovative visitor experiences. Once operational, the facility is expected to serve hundreds of thousands of cruise passengers annually, providing selected operators with high visibility and consistent foot traffic.
General Manager of Antigua Cruise Port, Gasper George shared:

He added: “With hundreds of thousands of cruise visitors welcomed ashore each year, selected operators will benefit from increased homeporting, a professionally managed commercial environment, and direct access to both local and international clientele.”
