Bar, a town on two shores, located in the southeastern part of Montenegro. The length of Bar shore, resting on the Adriatic Sea, is 46 km out of which, 9 km are beaches. Besides being one of the sunniest places of the South Europe, with more than 2160 sunny hours a year, its climate is characterized by long and warm summers and mild winters.
Located by the water, it has become an important port city for Montenegro. The coast is the playground of Montenegro, with beach resorts in the towns and cities along its shores. The old town, Stari Bar, is about an hour’s walk up in the mountains, and is currently being restored to its former glory.
